 Week 2: West Dubuque Tap In the first week, we had hoped to order from West Dubuque Tap, but we called and called and couldn't get an answer.  So this week, a friend told us to call early and order it for pick up at a later time.  So at around 4:00pm we ordered for pick up at 5:15pm.  When I arrived at WDT, our food had just been packaged up, and the gentleman behind the bar who took our payment was very friendly.  When I got home we opened our containers and I was very excited at how good the fish looked, and the additional food items that dinner came with.  Their fish dinners were around $15 (we forgot to ask specific price, but I think it was around $15 by what we paid).  In a fish dinner you received 4 good size pieces of fish, choice of potato, small side salad (macaroni and/or coleslaw), a dinner roll, AND dessert!  At first glance I was very impressed at how good everything looked.  I got fish, baked potato, and macaroni salad.  ...

 FFC: Pandemic Edition-Week 1--Rhody's Rhody's is one of my favorite fish fry spots.  It was my number one fish fry place a few years ago.  So this pandemic fish fry season, we decided to try out their carry out fish fry.  Our fish fry was ordered over the phone.  When we ordered, the fish fry was $10 for 3 pieces of cod or catfish, and comes with coleslaw, dinner roll, and choice of potato.  We ordered one cod dinner with french fries, and one catfish dinner with a baked potato.  And asked for extra tartar sauce!!   I also ordered a Brandy old fashioned to-go (which was my first time doing this!).  They said it would take about 40 minutes to wait, which we were happy to do.  When I arrived at Rhody's to pick up our meal, I was happy to see our order was ready to go.  However, the price of the fish fry dinner was actually $13.50, not the $10 we were told, and all payments paid via card had a 3% service charge.  This was fi...
